UI Contribution — Horror Adventure Game

Garden of Idan

A UI contribution to a friend's indie horror adventure game set in a corrupted manor.

A manor. A compass. A mother who was never really gone.

Garden of Idan follows Evelyn, a 23-year-old woman drawn to a ruined manor by a childhood compass and visions of a woman she never knew. Her father told her Mother was sick and gone, but the nightmares say otherwise. A figure calls herself Mother, warm and unsettling in equal measure, and eventually leads Evelyn to a decaying estate in the middle of nowhere. What waits there is not a reunion so much as a reckoning. The world of the manor is corrupted and sick, its caretakers long since twisted into something else. It is a quiet horror game built around dread, memory, and the question of whether the thing waiting for you is really who it claims to be.

My Contribution

A friend reached out and asked me to help with UI assets for Garden of Idan. I designed the ornate frames, the compass prop, the lily flower elements, and the aged parchment panels that appear throughout the game's interface. Everything was designed to feel like it belonged to the world — antique, botanical, and slightly ominous. All assets were made in Procreate and refined in Adobe Illustrator.
